Hi folks,

It’s time to share an excerpt and so bringing a simmering snippet from Second Chance At Forever, semsual romance set in India.

Enjoy reading!

‘An affair would do us good, you know.’ The words were so conversationally put. As ever, he succeeded in shocking her, putting into words what she had been trying to evade.

‘You – I ought to tell you off for that.’

‘I’m sitting here looking at your picture on the monitor. Then I look at the earlier pictures – yes, I have them – and I can’t spot any difference…in the reaction they evoke in me.’

He had her pictures. For some reason, her stomach contracted as an image of him arose, sitting alone, looking at her picture displayed on a closely placed screen.

‘We used to be good together, Stuti. Are you wondering if it would be the same between us even now? I know I am.’

His voice stole over her, its insistence beguiling her senses. It’d be all too easy to give in, to keep listening to him and let magic of his nearness flow over her.

‘It was just sex,’ she said breathlessly.

‘Awesome, mind blowing sex. Wanna give it a go again?’

His voice was just that bit dirty to get heat thrumming under her skin. ‘Sex would solve nothing…’

‘It doesn’t have to. It’s its own benefit.’

Illicit images began to play in her mind. She couldn’t speak. Silence stretched. So long that she finally managed to croak out, ‘Revath…it’s not possible between us.’

‘Damn it, Stuti, playing the simpering maiden wasn’t your style. I never had to spell it out before. We didn’t even need to use words to communicate.’

‘Maybe we should have used them,’ she said. ‘Maybe we wouldn’t need to be like this if we had.’ It slipped from her quietly.

Here’s something about the book:

What happens when the terrible twos come in threes?

Stuti loves being a mother to her triplets, but it can be a harrowing routine. She’s even more submerged in the craziness when she takes them and her mom-in-law for a trip to Rajasthan, the land of the erstwhile Thar desert royals and their palaces. After the passing away of her husband, she feels she owes it to her to take her to her favourite holiday. In the Amber Palace, her reckless toddler rushes onto a modelling shoot. As she picks up her daughter who has tripped over a gorgeous zardozi sari, her gaze clashes with that of the man she’d hoped never to set eyes on again in her life.

Revath was everything she wanted in a man, but six years ago he chose to walk away from her.

Revath knew the moment he met Stuti again that he couldn’t just let her go. He doesn’t believe in forever, so what’s he doing asking her for a second chance?

#excerpt from #SecondChanceAtForever #romance #novel

Sharing today an excerpt from Second Chance At Forever, romance novel about a pair who wanted different things in life and gave each other up for them. What haooens when liee throws them back together again?

Here’s the excerpt:

Revath looked away, shame coursing through him at his own words. He was just lashing out, blindly, trying to get a hit. The knowledge didn’t make him feel any better. How could he explain the rage that consumed him when he thought of her with Avinash? He used to call Revath his friend and what did he do? All but stole his girl. No, that wasn’t true. Stuti made her own decisions. He had to face that. It was easier to pretend she was taken away by someone’s influence, but he knew with bitter retrospect that she did it in full senses, not impulsively. She did what suited her life goals. And he didn’t feature anywhere in them.

Now Avinash was gone. He should be praying for his peace, but instead he found himself resenting him for Stuti.

‘You weren’t like this,’ Stuti said, ‘so taunting, so hurting…!’

‘I know.’ He took a deep breath. ‘But then, you weren’t like this either.’

He looked out across the garden below, breathing, trying to get a grip on the emotions churning up his insides. He was never one to let the situation get out of hand. But with her, it was so easy to get all uptight. The past lay between them like a burning coal giving off sparks when poked even slightly.

#Review #SecondChanceAtForever

“The romance between Revath and Stuti warmed the cockles of my heart, as did the heart-touching innocence of the three little angels. The fervent hope that the two characters put away their differences and begin a new life kept me going.”

After the passing away of her husband, she feels she owes it to her mil to take her to her favourite holiday. In the Amber Palace, her reckless toddler rushes onto a modelling shoot. As she picks up her daughter who has tripped over a gorgeous zardozi sari, her gaze clashes with that of the man she’d hoped never to set eyes on again in her life.
A passion that threatens to set fire to more than just her senses
Revath was everything she wanted in a man, but six years ago he chose to walk away from her. Now he wants to be back in her life. When she knows he doesn’t want the same things in life that she does, would she be wise to let anything rekindle between them? Is it already too late for rethinks?
Desire that has to be denied
Revath knew the moment he met Stuti again that he couldn’t just let her go. But Stuti is absolutely the wrong woman for him. It was proved six years ago when they chose diametrically opposite ways for themselves. He doesn’t believe in forever, so what’s he doing asking her for a second chance?

‘You have everything a man wants. Money, women fawning over you, the work you love…’

‘Everything, except you.’ He put his hand on hers, gripping it on the rail. He felt her jerk in shock. Contact rapidly evoked what time hadn’t sufficiently buried.

‘I have missed you. A lot more than you think.’ His whisper grated the air close to her.

‘Don’t let’s go there, Revath.’

His fist curled even more strongly on hers. He wished he could heed her words. They were sanity. A timely warning. But the storm inside was let loose. He took away his hand but only to grasp her upper arms to draw her close.

‘Revath!’

‘Do you think any woman could be what you were to me?’ Her eyes widened as the words registered and he felt her relax slightly, the tension ebbing from her.

‘I mean it, Stuti.’

She didn’t resist as he brought his head close to hers. His mouth touched her cheek and then irresistibly, inevitably, her mouth.

Time seem to dissolve. His head swam with the rush of feeling. He realized he had been only half alive as a surge of sensation invaded his body, rushing through his veins with the speed of storm winds.

He didn’t care if her mother in law saw them. He didn’t care if the staff did. He didn’t care if the whole of Rajasthan became a witness to the kiss. All he knew was he needed it. Needed her surrender to the rage of emotions swirling inside both of them. He was sure of that. She felt it too. He could feel the trembling in her, the shiver of anticipation as the initial shock of the kiss dissolved into insidious acceptance.

He was intoxicated by the scent of flowers, the sweetness of nectar. Her mouth parted and he deepened the kiss, not able to tell her but needing to show the emotion that was alive and tingling in his every fiber. She clung to him, fingers digging in his shirt and the vortex intensified to a sucking maelstrom.

This was what he wanted. Needed. The woman in his arms was all softness and desire. The hunger spread more quickly than he had thought possible. Her mouth fused to his, clung, parted and clung again and the flame of wanting became a fire. Her fingers tugged at fistfuls of his shirt. She moaned, the sound heady, hitting his gut and evoking a fierce possessiveness that made him catch her to him with force.

A wail came from somewhere distant and the next moment Stuti pushed against him and backed away to the railing. Widened eyes looked at him, a flush on her skin.

‘Don’t do that again, Revath. We can’t go back. Not now.’

She was gone.
