Passionate Romance!!!
By Arpita Subhadarshinee on 27 February 2016
“The love between the Boss and Secretary in an office scenario has been well put with a hot sizzling romance attached to it. Tahir, a handsome Boss and Samara, a beautiful secretary. It’s a lovely story that depicts the present society scenario at large.

The excellent storytelling, vivid characterisation and elegant English makes a worth read. It tells us that true love is not a bed of roses. The jealousy, hatred, confusion, fights and passion has been well depicted.

The story keeps you hooked till you put it down. The title is apt and the cover page promises you a hot passionate romance.
Truely an awesome read…I recommend everyone to read it to experience true love and passion and what it takes to love…”
Thank you,  Arpita. I’m so happy you enjoyed the book.

About The Author

Adite Banerjie

Adite Banerjie discovered Mills & Boon romances and their amazing assortment of drool-worthy TDH heroes in her teens. Around the same time she fell in love with song-and-dance Bollywood romances. Growing up in a home with a filmmaker dad who worked in the world’s largest film industry (yes, Bollywood!) and a voracious reader for a mom, it was inevitable that she would come to love both films and books.During her exciting and fulfilling career as a business journalist, she found the time to indulge her passion for both Bollywood romances and M&Bs. But after years of reporting and writing about the real world, she chose to return to her love for fiction and turned screenwriter. She turned Harlequin author after winning the 2012 Passions Aspiring Authors Contest.

The Indian Tycoon’s Marriage Deal, based on the winning short story for the Harlequin contest, was released in December 2013 in India. Trouble Has a New Name was released in 2014. Both are available in paperback (India) and in the e-book format globally. Her third title (romantic-suspense), No Safe Zone, will be released in May 2016.

#snippet from Hidden Passion: Kamboj Princess Rukmani

To liven up a chilly Thursday, I’m sharing here a snippet from recently released ‘Hidden Passion: Kamboj Princess Rukmani’.
In this excerpt,  Devesh and Rukmani are taking a breather while on their way to the temple located on the top of a steep hill.
…………………….

Devesh saw the shadows creep into her eyes. He bent forward to tilt her chin up with one finger. ‘Don’t give up, princess! You’re made of sterner stuff. You have to be strong for your kingdom.’

‘I am not made for monarchial politics, maharaj.’ She wiped away her tears giving him a watery smile. ‘I don’t know what is happening now or why it is. I used to just have to say the words to get whatever I wanted. I was always in the center of my family circle, maybe even coddled by their love. There was always the liberty of choice. At least I thought so. I flouted convention and no one stopped me. I did everything I wanted…I thought it was because I was free, not because I was allowed, because I was being humoured. I never knew that if…when…I tried to go beyond the walls, my wishes would be trampled just because they didn’t suit the royal affairs.’

‘But, priya, royal affairs always demand sacrifice.’

The endearment took her by surprise. Pleasure rushed through her. For a moment it was as though he knew what she felt like. ‘It isn’t sacrifice for any worthy cause. That I could understand maybe. It’s because of their petty stubbornness. They should leave me out of their affairs.’ She said with a catch in her voice. ‘I only want to choose by myself the man I want to share my life with.’

My #2014 – Summerita Rhayne

I’m sharing thoughts about 2014 on Devika Fernando’s blog.
……..
My 2014 – Summerita Rhayne

Many thanks Devika for inviting me to share my thoughts about 2014.

As I sit writing this post it’s 31st December on the calendar. And what pops into my mind is: Poor 2014! Or for that matter, any old year. We’re so busy ushering in the New one, we forget to say goodbye to the Old one properly. From mid December, ‘Happy New Year’ starts coming easily from everyone’s mouth. But the year gone by, the mistakes we made… we prefer to forget it all. Maybe there are some lessons hidden in there, something to be learnt from how we have been, which can make 2015 more golden?

This is why a reflection post like this one is so opportune, a way of paying homage to The Gone Year, excuse the pun 🙂
For me, the year 2014 brought several changes. My kids went on to higher classes which meant they became busier in studies. With the pressure of competitive exams, finding outdoor time has become problematic for them these days. Enrolling them in some activities seemed to be a good solution. It started with tennis but didn’t work out so now child no. 2 is trying out dance and finding it better fun. We missed on summer vacation. A family wedding and all the ‘big fat wedding’ factor involved did make up a bit. You could say, staying up all night and feeling like a zombie the next day is definitely a change from routine! We had a healthy discussion at my workplace whether Hindu weddings ought to be shifted to daytime. I’m afraid I’m rather old fashioned in this and despite the discomfort, prefer the romantic aura of midnight weddings! 🙂

Before this turns into a rambling post, I must share an exciting change that 2014 brought. This was my shift into self publishing. I’ve been published traditionally and loved it except for a few factors. By the way, the stint in self publishing has made me appreciate a lot what publishers do for authors. All one has to do in that case is writing the book and let them take over except where marketing is concerned. However, I have found I love self publishing even more. It gives you total control on the whole process – from writing to the moment the book is ready. I’ve learnt a LOT about that process. I share some of the rudiments here on how to publish on Amazon. Currently I’m putting out my book on Smashwords and looking into other sites. For someone who didn’t even know Word properly, though I did a three month course on it – didn’t practice much then –  to have come to design my book cover and format the book for electronic and print, it is big step forward. I learnt more about readers’ engagement, about selling on Amazon… about not obsessively checking sale reports! 😉 With my second book out, I’m making steady progress though and am hopeful. Every time a sale shows up on the graph, it makes my heart swell with pride because I have had such a big part in the creation of that work. Not all my doing of course, because it’s all thanks to the resources I had.  But still, creativity in whatever form – that’s what art is about.

This is definitely turning into a word sprawl of a post. I’m sure this isn’t what Devika had in mind when she invited me to guest post. But I can’t leave without sharing something of even more importance. So do stick around if you don’t mind the buzz of words.

2014 also brought a change in my ‘life’ perspective

#Bookrelease Against All Rules

Finally a giant step taken. After quite some mulling and ups and downs in terms of effort, I have succeeded in self publishing my book on Amazon.

Hope you will stay tuned as I pop in now and then to share my writing journey. How I had to wait and wait for the cover because I couldn’t get the pics (long story that) or how I got stiff knees because I was determined to do all the uploading and publishing of the book in one day (believe me, it’s possible. Crazy but possible!)

Anyway, since I have to don my publishing helmet in between duty calls of job and home, I have to sandwich a lot of things in less time. So while my actual book release day was 24th August, I found time to record the event only now.

Enough about routine. The important thing is this did happen and I’ve just crossed a significant milestone.

Let me introduce you to a sensual emotional read. Against All Rules, just like the name depicts, is the story of passion and romance flaring despite constraints. Tahir and Samara have different reasons to fight their attraction for each other but sometimes you just can’t fight it….

Presenting…

AGAINST ALL RULES

EXCERPT

Coming into her office to ask if everything was ready, Tahir stilled as his gaze found the woman with her neck arched back in abandon in the chair. What the…his jaw went slack focusing on the darting tip of a tongue moistening soft pink flesh and the expression of pure sensual enjoyment on her face.

This wasn’t his usually staid and prim PA. Muscles clenched low in his body witnessing the sensuous slide of that tongue tip. Like he’d wandered into the live filming of some erotic edgy scene. It only needed her hair unconfined and the prim buttons on her top loosened for the picture of sexy siren to be complete. With her head thrown back like that and her chest thrust forward, full curves straining the buttons, she wasn’t less than a siren now. His gaze moved back to the promise of her lush parted mouth and it required no imagination to picture the feel of it beneath his, to picture capturing that errant tip… He inhaled. Blood rushed through his body at double the speed, surging strategically southward.

Samara became conscious of something different in her surroundings and sat up, guilt flooding her skin with warmth as she saw Tahir looking at her from his six foot vantage point, narrowed brown gaze focusing on her face. The dark brows lifted sardonically, his well shaped mouth with that velvet sheen it had, curving oh so slightly.

‘I – I was just…’

She stopped, unable to explain and unable to decipher why she felt the temperature of the room increase till a wave of heat bounced around her body.

He stood feet apart, every inch the inflexible, demanding boss man that he was. He was also jaw dropping handsome, looking like a honed and toned version of a male deo model. Forget the chocó, I could settle for a bite of that anytime. That well shaped mouth, with a fuller sensual lower lip, dark eyes, the colour of ground coffee, thickly lashed. Those spikes, he gelled his hair into as a concession to trend. No wonder women chased him any and every chance they got.

‘I don’t pay you to indulge your time fantasizing in my office.’ He ground out, a curt edge to his deep voice, his eyes still narrowed on her face.
