A superb #review for #AAR #AgainstAllRules

“Like the molten chocolate in a choco-lava cake”

says Lata Sony at Amazon.

This review was posted quite some time back but foegot to share it, so sharing now.

The rest of the review:

The hot and mushy scenes keep flowing like molten chocolate in a choco-lava cake. What I liked best though was the psychology of the characters that was believable and yet not heavy enough to come into the way of passion. Some romance readers are known to skip the serious parts to get to the hot stuff, but in this book the complexity of the personalities kept the feel of romance more lingering. Near the end my interest waned as the story got inevitably predictable, but it engaged me immensely the rest of the time. I ought to give a lot of credit for this to Summerita for her descriptive body actions and feelings. Sample this – His heart felt like a lead balloon squeezing breath from his chest. Entertaining novel, even thought-provoking to those interested in complex personalities. I thought I had long out-grown romance novels, but looks like I was just missing good quality romance like that in “Against All Rules” 🙂

Thanks to readers like her, Against All Rules touched top 100 paid in contemporary romance at Amazon.in several times last year. It’s been consistently in top 100 paid in Indian books in world literature category at Amazon.com

#Review #SecondChanceAtForever

Shivani Agarwal reviews Second Chance At Forever and has this to share:

When I had received this particular book I was a bit sceptical of starting this book reason as the name suggests it’s a book based on romance and that too meant for those who are hopeless romantics. Owing to some personal circumstances now I don’t believe in love, but I am glad that I read this book coz this book in one way or the other has restored my faith in true love.

She further says, “The characters have been sketched beautifully and in my point of view that is what makes this story a beautiful feel. All the characters have given justice to their relevant characters.
o There was a point of time when I was frustrated with Stuti for being so skeptical even after knowing the efforts made by Revath. It was kind of weird to read it. But I continued. I am glad I continued reading the book. Isn’t it what we do generally, judging before even knowing the other persons circumstances. I have absolutely no idea regarding how much pain did a teenage Stuti had to endure in her life. To know more about the book you got to read the book.
o This book made me wonder about true love…”

#review #AgainstAllRules #romance #bookreview

Deepali of kolorpencil.com reviewed Against All Rules. Here’s an excerpt of the review.

….

Tahir: – Suave, professional, dashing and super-confident yet vulnerable at some point. You want to hate him, love him, and sympathize with him…all at the same time.

Samara:- Decent, smart and modest small town girl who wants to focus on career. You fall in love with her right in the beginning.

Against All Rules is a sensuous roller-coaster ride of emotional tug of war between Tahir and Samara. In couple of chapters initially, the story constantly reminded me of Fifty Shades of Grey. But I was about to shrug it off as yet another soppy erotic tale built only upon lust, I was taken in by the deep emotional hurricane brewing in the minds of these characters. The author has done a good job of balancing passion and judgment.

The story revolves around Tahir and Samara, two completely opposite characters. Tahir is a self-made business tycoon who likes professionalism and excellence in whatever he does. Though he does not let emotions overcome his sensibilities, he is acutely aware of his responsibilities and fulfills them albeit mechanically and methodically sometimes. Samara is a typical small town girl who wants to make it big in the corporate world. Her absolute dedication and ability towards her work as Tahir’s PA makes her almost indispensible. While Samara successfully pulls a façade of being extremely professional, she is completely smitten by her boss. Everything looks totally under control until Tahir kisses Samara under the influence of alcohol while brooding over his failed marriage. A whirlwind of emotions, attraction and desires is let loose as Tahir and Samara try to remain professional but are drawn towards each other dramatically.

Tahir who does not want to get into any relationship after his disastrous divorce is intensely attracted to Samara, who wants to stay focused on her career and does not want to get into a physical-only relationship. The story gradually takes its course as Tahir and Samara struggle to deny their evident desire for each other. As I said earlier, you want to both hate and love Tahir and the feminist streak in you wants to tell Samara to not fall for the uptight boss. But both of them have their side of the story.

The typical boss-secretary falling for each other office- plot is somewhat predictable. You know that it’s only a matter of time before both of them give in to the forces of attraction but the intense writing style of the author keeps you hooked. The writing oozes sensuality and passion without sounding vulgar. If you like Danielle Steel type of love and romance genre, you must read Against All Rules.

“The romance between Revath and Stuti warmed the cockles of my heart, as did the heart-touching innocence of the three little angels. The fervent hope that the two characters put away their differences and begin a new life kept me going.”

Passionate Romance!!!
By Arpita Subhadarshinee on 27 February 2016
“The love between the Boss and Secretary in an office scenario has been well put with a hot sizzling romance attached to it. Tahir, a handsome Boss and Samara, a beautiful secretary. It’s a lovely story that depicts the present society scenario at large.

The excellent storytelling, vivid characterisation and elegant English makes a worth read. It tells us that true love is not a bed of roses. The jealousy, hatred, confusion, fights and passion has been well depicted.

The story keeps you hooked till you put it down. The title is apt and the cover page promises you a hot passionate romance.
Truely an awesome read…I recommend everyone to read it to experience true love and passion and what it takes to love…”
Thank you,  Arpita. I’m so happy you enjoyed the book.

#Fivestars for #MoreThanJustDesire #review #romance

Fantasy and romance author Maya Tyler reviews More Than Just Desire and has this to say:

“Chemistry is the not the word… The heat between Piya and Arfaaz in More Than Just Desire is sizzling! Summerita Rhayne has done it again by creating strong, believable characters. Piya is headstrong and selfish, but those character flaws are her shield against an intense fear of being alone. Arfaaz thinks he’s out for revenge, but finds the intense emotion he feels for Piya is love not hate. These characters may seem like opposites, but they have much in common. They have both overcome difficult, humble beginnings. Neither trust the other. Or themselves. Together they sizzle in this easy to read romance set in exotic India. I was instantly captivated by this story and I would highly recommend it.”
Many thanks, Maya.

Winner #Flashfiction #contest Love Lost and Found #Bonobology

My story won the Love Lost and Found flash fiction contest at the Bonobology site. It’s called Rediscovery.
I’m excited about this event for two reasons.
First, I’ve never tried to write Flash fiction before. I’ve attempted to do it in my head. I’ve looked at posts. But I thought this was beyond me. Just one of those things you can’t get a hang of.
As writers we should be able to write all forms regardless of the length of the piece. Of course each writer has their own comfort zone but that should be a choice, not need.
I thought I could just not write concisely enough. I tried automatic word generator. I tried prompts from helpful people. But if I got writing, it ended up a novella or a short story. Finally I have something that is short length and conveys an idea of the story rather than the story itself.
A lot of the inclination to write had to do with the romance genre feel of the prompts. I can conclude that it might help if you write in the genre you like.
The second reason I’m so happy about this win is that I wrote it in a totally spur of the moment kind of way. I was travelling by car and mulled over the idea in my mind. Then I clicked the bare outline on phone. For a while I thought I couldn’t possibly finish it as certain demands imposed on me hampered me. But by midnight I got the idea edited and was even able to hit send!
I’ve written faster than this but never conceptualised a story faster. So this was another reason to feel happy.

#Review for #AgainstAllRules

Shubhangi Srikanth is a blogger, editor and writer who pens her views and thoughts at The Little Princess with the evocative domain name of ‘titli’ that means ‘butterfly’ in Hindi. She recently reviewed romance Against All Rules. Here’s what she says about the book:

“Summerita Rhyane’s Against All Rules, is one huge ball of passion, coated with a generous dose of erotica and romance! The story set in the backdrop of an office, brings together a PA, Samara, who harbours a secret crush towards her boss, Tahir, who by the way, is in no mood for another relationship, except the one that begins and ends in bed, while she dreams of a life together. Our heroine will accept no less and the hero will give no more. What follows is a virtual tug of war- of raw emotions, unmanifested desires, and the struggle to stay and keep the self and the other in control. How the protagonists manage to come to terms with their inner demons and let love into their lives forms the base of the story.
Every time the couple come together, sparks fly and hearts melt, your own heart beats wildly and as you want the fire in their kiss to lead to something more, but there’s always a conflict that douses the fire and you are left wanting more!”
